EVEN with a change of Prime Minister which one was always hopeful would change the attitude of this Labour Government, it still appears to want to dictate to local government what its priorities should be and how it should carry out the services.

We believe that elected Members of this Council and others should be able to decide on the services that people need in the area that they represent. Priorities will change from area to area as does need. You cannot have one size fits all. I am sure we can all agree on this point.
