Fairer budget rejected Print E-mail
LIB DEMS on Fareham Council put forward an alternative budget which would have retained much of the garden waste collection service, and kept the start time for over-60s bus passes at 9am, yet without charging any more in council tax than the ruling Conservatives proposed. Our proposals would have been of enormous benefit to residents - but the Conservatives voted them down. We wonder if they would have dared do so in a year when they faced a borough council election.
