New group gets to work

Lib Dems now hold seats on all committees on Fareham Council after doubling our strength in the May elections.

New group leader Paul Whittle wasted no time in naming his team to scrutinise all aspects of the Council's work.

Paul will be spokesman on Policy and Resources, Paul Nother on Planning and Development, Alison West on Health and Public Protection, Lisa Whittle on Leisure and Community, Karen Wiltshire on Streetscene, and David Hamilton on Housing. Deputy leader Chrissie Bainbridge sits on the Climate Changescrutiny panel,  and Dave Wiltshire on the Daedalus scrutiny panel.

The team will be hard at work over the next two years, holding the Council to account and gaining experience to enable them to emulate our neighbours and take charge.

Lib Dems are in control in Eastleigh, Winchester, Portsmouth and Gosport, and now share control as part of a coalition in Havant. Next stop Fareham!
