Sarisbury: 20-home plan near Botley Road

A new plan has been submitted for homes on land South Of Rookery Avenue (W) And 112 Botley Road,
It proposes demolition of the existing building and construction of 20 houses with associated parking and landscaping and access from Rookery Avenue.

This is a second attempt to gain permission - a previously approved scheme (six houses) was not pursued.

John Hughes took second place for the Lib Dems in Sarisbury in the 2022 local elections.

John has lived in Lower Swanwick and traces his local connections way back to a Saturday job in the local boat yard.

One of his children attends the excellent Sarisbury Infant School. As a keen cyclist, John is appalled at the lack of safe cycle route networks across the Borough.

John Murray was the Lib Dem candidate in the May 2022 elections.

John studied at Southampton University and after graduating (science) his early career in medical coding at Southampton General was an introduction to healthcare services. 

With an informed interest in healthcare and health data, he now represents the local community at his GP practice’s Patient Participation Group.
