A27 Racing: Residents Sound the Alarm

Residents in Lower Swanwick and Park Gate have reported dangerous driving on the A27 near the Swanwick Lane junction, with drivers allegedly racing and overtaking across traffic islands.

Illegal racing has been reported on major Hampshire roads before — and local residents are worried it could take hold here.

Liberal Democrat campaigners Gayathri Sathyanath and Graham Everdell are asking residents to help highlight the problem so action can be taken.

Gayathri said: “Residents should feel safe using this busy road. Reckless racing has no place in our community.”
