Protect High View Park
Sign our petition for bollards to stop unauthorised encampments
High View Park is an important green space for local families, children and residents.
This summer, the park experienced two unauthorised encampments in just three weeks, following many years without such incidents.
While the first encampment passed relatively peacefully, the second brought reports of antisocial behaviour and required police intervention. Residents were understandably concerned, with families unable to enjoy parts of the park and vehicles parked close to neighbouring homes.
Local Liberal Democrat councillors have been working with Council officers to find a practical, long-term solution. Discussions identified installing concrete bollards around vulnerable sections of the park as potentially the most cost-effective way to prevent further unauthorised vehicle access.
Now we need the Council to turn those discussions into action.
Protect High View Park
We, the undersigned, call on Fareham Borough Council to prioritise the installation of suitable protective bollards around High View Park, particularly at vulnerable access points, to prevent further unauthorised vehicle encampments and protect this valued community space for residents and families.
