Action at last on footpath

Mudbath at Wicor Copse

At last, after many conversations over the last few years, we are getting a pathway in Wicor Copse leading to and from the Wicor Marina entrance to the Copse.

For three years this route has been a mudbath and virtually impassable in the winter months, or after any heavy downpours.

Wicor councillor Paul Nother has been pressing council officers for action to make it accessible all year round.

Paul says: "The fantastic team at Hampshire Countryside Services have made a start by clearing some undergrowth in preparation for the path to be installed over the coming weeks.

“It may be a woodchip or stone covered pathway which will allow all users to bypass the track to the horse field no matter what the weather.”
