Fareham Town's Lib Dem councillor Kirsten Wiltshire says: "Residents on Western Road contacted me about the verge, which had become very overgrown and was proving tricky to tackle because of the steep bank and the number of cars usually parked alongside it.

"After a bit of organising with residents to get the parking spaces cleared, the Council team were able to get in safely and give the whole verge a much-needed cut back as these before and after photos show. 

"A big thank you to Mike and the team for getting the work done, and especially to the residents who helped coordinate things and made sure the area was clear for them.

“Sometimes getting these things sorted just needs everyone working together.”
