On Tuesday, Liberal Democrat councillors submitted a formal motion to Fareham Borough Council calling on the Council Leader to write to Suella Braverman urging her to do the honourable thing and stand down so voters can decide. Since then, Labour and Conservative councillors locally have backed the call for a by-election — with the Conservative Council Leader himself saying she should “let the public decide”.
