I am proud to be standing as the Liberal Democrat candidate for Hill Head. Having lived in the Solent area for 40 years with the past five years in Portchester—I understand the character, strengths and challenges of our communities.

Portchester and Hill Head share many similarities. Both are attractive, historic areas that draw visitors while also being home to thriving local communities. With that comes a common challenge: getting the balance right between the needs of residents, local businesses, and tourism.

One of the issues I hear most about is parking. Residents want to be able to park near their homes, businesses need footfall to survive, and visitors are vital to the local economy. I believe we can find practical, fair solutions that work for everyone—without compromising the character of the area.

I am standing because I care about protecting what makes Hill Head special, while ensuring it remains a great place to live, work and visit. I will listen to residents, work constructively with local groups and businesses, and focus on common-sense solutions that put the community first.
